Honeycutt To Be Back for December Derby.

Defending Race Winner Honeycutt Files Early Entry for 2025 Snowball Derby
Run it back. That’s what Kaden Honeycutt is looking to do come December at the 58th Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Honeycutt became one of the first drivers to enter the December race. He will once again drive for Larry Blount Motorsports in conjunction with Jett Motorsports.

“This is something I'm not used to,” explained Honeycutt. “Being one of the first entries when it comes to racing, but yeah, just really excited to go back. We haven't been racing this much this year in our Super. We just stuck to three races and I think you know we'll be a little behind going into September but we'll have plenty of opportunities to go and practice and make our car better just as good as it was.”
The last six months have been a rollercoaster for Honeycutt, who has been on his Snowball Derby victory tour that has seen handshakes and congratulations from coast-to-coast.
“Winning the Derby has been such a blessing. I've been able to meet some amazing people after that. Just looking forward to meeting even more people who know about the race and what it takes to win that race. Those things did happen for us.”

Honeycutt, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series full-time driver, stated the plan was to do the same amount of racing at the Snowball Derby as he did in 2025. He won the Pro Truck race the week of the Snowball Derby for his first victory at Five Flags. That Sunday he made history as the first Texas driver to win the race in five decades.
“I'm hoping to do the same thing again,” said Honeycutt. “I'm hoping to do the mod, the pro, the super, and the truck. So we'll probably decide in October or November and see if we can do it. But right now we're gonna do two to three of them, and we'll try to work on that fourth. It just matters logistically and everything if we can make it work.”
While Honeycutt learned of all the responsibilities, he said he was hoping to have a champions-type dinner at the Derby this year for his crew.
“I want to get 12 ounces of steak for my crew and fill them up. Texas-born, of course. They deserve a good meal after winning in 2024, and I want to thank them for how hard they work all week.”
