June Jumps to the Forefront for the MLDS

West Allis, WI (June 1st, 2025) - As the days get longer and the heat begins to rise, we find the Midwest Legends Dirt Series heating up as well as the series bursts into a busy month of June. From seven races to a points battle that is separated by a hand, the season shifts into high gear in June.

Three weekends of racing await the MLDS in the month of June. The first will start immediately on June 7th and June 8th. The first night will take place at Beaver Dam Raceway alongside the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars. The series first and only visit to the track before the Legends.Direct 10K Dirt Legend Showdown. The June 7th race will be streamed on DirtVision. The second night of the weekend takes the series north to Luxy Raceway for their Prelude to the Clash event. The series' second trip to the track in 2025 and the first points night there. That night will be live on watchfye.tv.

A week break and then it’s back to action at Gravity Park USA in Chilton, Wisconsin on June 20th. The series first visit to the bullring is bound to bring a field and some fierce competition. A day off and then a run over to Sun Prairie’s Angell Park Speedway, where it all started for the MLDS. That will mark the first National Qualifier for the series. That race will be able to be caught on badgerracing.tv.

The final weekend of the season is the series one and only triple header weekend for the series in 2025. The first night takes the series to Lafayette Speedway for the first of two visits to the fairgrounds in 2025. The second night takes the series back to Maquoketa Speedway in Iowa. The series started off the season there earlier with Robby Morrison picking up the win, will we see Morrison pick up another or will someone else sneak through? The final night brings the series back to Wisconsin and back to Angell Park Speedway a week after the prior, on June 29th. Firework night is bound to make the action on and off the track amazing. That night again, can be caught on badgerracing.tv.

Eyes have turned to the points battle as the season grows longer. Adam Zellmer leads the way in the standings with 368 points, while Ryan Sullivan is right on his tail in second, only five points behind. Hayden Schmuhl finds himself in his own little world in third, while a swarm of bees sit behind. Cal Swenson and Rob Maule are tied on points at 308 in fourth and fifth, with Ayden Erickson only eight points behind them, and Talyn Neuman only six points behind him. The same situation is happening for eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh. Michael Weber sits on 278, Nate Werner and Lilly Fassbender on 276, and Dallas Ross on 274. And don’t look now but it’s the same situation for twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth. This order is Alex Haese, Connor Carey, Mike Swenson, and Tim Franz. Wrapping up the final five cars in the top twenty are Keith Carey, Mackenzie Maule, Dan Mech, Ryan Mech, and Art Hahn.

Other notes to keep in your mind for June are the following. Signups for the Legends.Direct 10K Dirt Legend Showdown are still open and will remain open, drivers are reminded to register and purchase a pit stall as soon as possible. Watch the series Facebook page for sponsorship announcements throughout the month. The other big news to remember is to begin preparing for the Weekday Warrior Series Presented by Spankins Motorsports. Two out of the three tracks in the mini-championship are on the schedule in June, which gives drivers a great chance to get some laps in before the points begin counting for that series.
