Wilmot Canceled 8/28/21
Wilmot Raceway apologizes for the later than preferred notice, but due to the extreme heat and humidity, with heat and air advisory’s, we are cancelling tonight’s (Aug 28) event. We are looking out for the safety of everyone... our racer’s, staff, fans, concession worker’s, gate workers, etc. We truly apologize, but in everyone’s best interest we feel we’re doing the right thing. Thank You BMARA for being understanding and supportive. We hope we’ve done this early enough where everyone can make other plans for the day. We really struggled with this decision for the past 24 hours, but humidity numbers are increasing even more. REAL FEEL Temps predicted to exceed 100 degrees for a few hours after we open was a deciding factor, and those numbers are increasing. For our Mods and Stocks, we truly are sorry, it’s not quite as hot up north but call before you head up that way as those tracks got a bunch of rain yesterday. wingLESS teams you’ll be getting an email some time today. Again, we’re sorry but truly believe this decision is overall best for everyone. We want to race as much as anyone, and we sincerely hope you understand.
