Driver Profile - #52 Factory Stock Jon Diodati (REVISITED)

Laird Raceway and Rev It Up Racing put you "in the driver's seat" with the weekly driver's profiles every Monday, so you can get a closer look and get a better understanding of just who these drivers are and what "makes them tick."

26 year old factory stock driver Jon Diodati has a passion for turning left after uncle Tony and his father turned the Sault Ste Marie, Ontario native on to racing after smelling the race fuel at the drag strip over the summers going up and helped Diodati jump behind the wheel of the factory stock #52 during the summer of 2012.

Over the last seven racing seasons, Diodati has seen time behind a four cylinder and now challeging some of the best drivers in the north in the factory stock division week in and week out at Laird when his schedule always the 26 year old behind the wheel. Diodati has mentioned that there is something about the drivers down the line that challenge every week and needs to find a way to stay ahead of drivers with Echo Bay's Jerry Ross and Desbarats' Jamie Fox.

What do you do for a living?
Delivery driver (Lyons Timber Mart)

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family? Hobbies or interests? What’s your passion?
My uncle tony and my dad got me addicted to smelling of race fuel, burning tires and drag racing which sparked my interest in circle track racing, I enjoy fishing, boating, traveling and racing, hopefully, I can incorporate more boating and traveling this year.

Do you remember when you first began to race?
I started to race in the four-cylinder division in 2012 at Laird Raceway.

What was the biggest challenge in 2019 at Laird and how do you think you change that going to 2020?
My biggest challenge at Laird in 2019 was probably trying to stay ahead of Jerry Ross and Jamie Fox for as long as possible. In 2020 I wouldn't change anything I enjoy racing with everyone.

Based upon your experiences at Laird Raceway, tell us your most exciting moments of racing?
There are so so many, but probably capturing my first checkered flag at laird in the factory stock division is my most exciting experience.

Who is a clean driver you really enjoy racing with?
I respect and enjoy racing with everyone.

On the opposite side of that, is there anyone who always seems to make it particularly hard on you?
No, not really,

Any final words?
I Just want to thank all the friends, families and fans that came to Laird to watch the races. Thanks again to Donnie Varcoe for putting on another great season, hopefully, the 2020 season will be even better.
