RJo wins 2nd running of the Silver Dollar Shootout
This past weekend was a big weekend for Rylee Jo. She competed in her first ever two day event. Silver Dollar Speedway located in Amarillo, Tx held their 2nd running of the Silver Dollar Shootout which would put the fastest drivers in the 806 up against each other for cash and some really awesome trophies. Friday night she ran a couple set of hot laps where her team was able to get her new engine from Cox Performance Racing Engines dialed in before her first heat race. Rylee drew a 48 when she checked in which would put her starting on the outside pole, when the green flag dropped she got a great start and lead every lap and winning the heat race. Saturday morning RJo and her team was back at it early as her second heat was early the next morning. She started her second heat third. she was running a great race running in the second position but pushed up a little bit while in a great battle for the second spot and fell back to fourth. She was able to run third place back down and pass them on the final lap to finish third. With her win in heat one and her third place finish in heat two she had the lowest average finish and started the main on the pole. She got a great start and jumped out to a big lead although second place chased her down she was able to hold on for the win. Everyone here at RJo Racing want to thank Silver Dollar Speedway for hosting this event and we cannot wait to race it again next year. Rylee has one more race this season October 3rd where she will look to continue her strong end to the season.
