Tate Bullis takes home his 1st Feature Win
Bullis, Tomlinson, Greseth and Hunter take home the checkered flag Saturday Night at the Devils Lake Speedway!
In the Hometrack Rules Purestocks Joe Armstrong of Crary ND drove away with the heat win. After a dramatic finish to the feature race resulting in a big crash on the front straight away. Tate Bullis of Lakota ND drove away with his 1st ever feature win. With Joe Armstrong finishing 2nd. Waylon Poitra of Grand Forks finishing 3rd.
In the Western Renegade Nonwing Sprint Car Series they had 6 Rookies on hand to join the veteran field. Eric Guyot of Fanneystelle Manitoba won Heat 1. Brenton Wiesz of Fessenden ND won Heat 2. Jeremy Lizakowski of Veseleyville ND won Heat 3. Feature time ended with a back and forth battle between Steve Nordrum of Devils Lake and Myles Tomlinson of Turtle Lake ND. Tomlinson would end up victorious. Nordrum would settle for a 2nd place finish. Cory Palm of Bismarck ND rounded out the top 3.
The battles were tight all night long in the Wissota Street Stock division. Kolton Brauer of Eyota MN won Heat 1 and Cole Greseth of Harwood ND won Heat 2. Trey Hess of Grand Forks and Cole Greseth would battle hard lap for lap in the feature. Greseth came out victorious. Hess would settle for a 2nd place finish. With Brauer finishing 3rd.
Jamie Dietzler of Larimore ND would win Heat 1 in the Wissota Midwest Mods. Lucas Rodin of Marion ND was the winner of Heat 2. The feature was going great with lots of side by side racing full of slide jobs and good clean racing. Became Plagued at lap 16 of the 20 lap feature race. Between mechanical failures to big wrecks the field became plagued with heartbreak. Austin Hunter of Winnipeg Manitoba would fight his way to victory lane. With Jory Berg of Grand Forks ND hot on his tail to finish Second. Jamie Dietzler would round out the podium in 3rd place.
Racing action will continue Saturday May 10th for High Plains Equipment Night. Wissota Late Models will return to the field along with Wissota Midwest Mods, Wissota Street Stocks and Hometrack rules purestocks. Gates will open at 4pm, Hot Laps at 6pm. With racing action starting at 7pm.
