McGrewBid Motoplex Makes History with Spectacular Opening Night!!

York, Haven, PA — In an historic moment for motorsports, the brand new McGrewBid Motoplex, a cutting-edge 1/5-mile dirt micro racetrack, opened its gates to the public for the first time on Friday, July 19. The grand opening event, highlighted by the Hyper 600 Speedweek, was a resounding success, marking the first newly built racetrack in over 30 years.

The evening's festivities featured a record-breaking 126 cars competing across two exciting Hyper Racing Divisions. The 600 Non-Wing Micros and the newly introduced JR Sprints raced under the dazzling new LED lights, providing a stunning visual spectacle and a thrilling experience for fans.
Despite numerous challenges during construction—including delays in parts deliveries from around the world—the McGrewBid Motoplex stood tall and delivered on its promise of displaying initial stages to a future world-class racing venue. The track's debut night was nothing short of spectacular, with competitors from across the United States and New Zealand showcasing their skills on the newly minted track.

During the inaugural drivers' meeting, McGrewBid Motoplex leaders Scott Gobrecht and Kolten Gouse, along with Hyper Racing Principal Mike Dicely and Hyper Speedweek Promoter Nick Fillman, addressed the participants. They emphasized the significance of this historic moment, noting that such an event may not occur again in the drivers' lifetimes, and urged everyone to cherish the experience.

“I hope when you guys are 30, 50, 60, 70 years old that you get to tell your grandkids about this and that you were a part of it,” McGrewBid Motoplex General Manager Kolten Gouse.
Immediately after, drivers got to experience the young clay for the first time during a “track pack” session at low speeds-followed by practice hot laps. Once the drivers gave their approval on clay conditions, the fast-moving night of events began.

In an impressive display of talent, Connor Gross emerged victorious in the 600 Non-Wing Micro Sprints, while Brexton Busch claimed the inaugural win in the JR Sprints. Their triumphs not only marked the beginning of a new era for McGrewBid Motoplex but also set the stage for future racing legends to emerge.

The McGrewBid Motoplex is poised to become a cornerstone of the racing community, and the remarkable success of its opening night is a testament to the dedication and perseverance of everyone involved. The excitement and energy of July 19 will be remembered for years to come as fans and racers alike eagerly anticipate future events at this historic track.
