Tim Kaeding Produces Top Five at Skagit for Sides Motorsports

Inside Line Promotions – ELMA, Wash. (Sept. 3, 2019) – A top-five finish on Saturday during the World of Outlaws at Skagit Presented by Scottie’s Plumbing highlighted the weekend in Washington for Sides Motorsports.

Tim Kaeding qualified second quickest and placed second in a heat race before winning the dash to garner the pole position for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series A Main. Kaeding battled inside the top three throughout most of the main event before he lost a couple of positions following a late-race restart.

The fifth-place outing marked the team’s fifth top five of the season.

“TK had a good weekend and was in contention for a top 10 all three nights in Washington,” team owner Jason Sides said. “My weekend wasn’t as good. We didn’t get off to great starts in qualifying and it’s tough to overcome that, especially with the way the tracks were.”

Kaeding also produced a seventh-place outing at Skagit Speedway on Friday and he battled for a top 10 nearly the entire feature on Monday at Grays Harbor Raceway before settling for a 12th-place finish.

“A front post broke on the nose wing and when it pushed back the car got too tight,” Sides said. “He wasn’t able to hold the bottom so that’s how those guys got by TK at the end.

“He’s been running good and I think it showed. I look for some good results throughout California the next couple of weeks.”

Sides returns to action on Wednesday at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Ore., before both he and Kaeding will compete on Friday and Saturday at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., during the Gold Cup Race of Champions with the World of Outlaws.
