Lawrence Scores 10th Top 10 of Season During NCRA Sprint Bandits Series Event

Inside Line Promotions – GREENVILLE, Texas (June 13, 2017) – Zane Lawrence captured his 10th top-10 result of the season last Saturday with the NCRA Sprint Bandit Series.
A high pill draw started Lawrence on the inside of the third row for a heat race and he advanced one position to finish fourth to open the night at Superbowl Speedway.
“The track was starting to rubber down by the end of the heat race,” he said. “I was able to get around one on the start, but other than that we couldn’t gain any ground on anybody else.”
That lined Lawrence up on the inside of the fifth row for the main event.
“After all the heat races were finished, the track had taken more rubber,” he said. “A few laps into the feature, everybody moved to the top side and it was extremely hard to pass.”
Lawrence finished where he started – ninth – on the tricky track.
Lawrence is scheduled to rejoin the ASCS Gulf South Region this Friday at Bronco Motor Speedway in Cleveland, Texas, and Saturday at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas.
“I’m excited to get back to Bronco Motor Speedway,” he said. “We’ve raced there before in a midget and for a 360 sprint car race, but it’s been a little over a year since then.”
Lawrence recorded a top five earlier this year at Battleground Speedway with ASCS Gulf South Region.
He enters this weekend ranked second in the ASCS Gulf South Region championship standings.
