Lawrence Advances for Top-Five Finish at Kennedale Speedway Park

Inside Line Promotions – KENNEDALE, Texas (May 2, 2018) – Zane Lawrence climbed behind the wheel of a 305ci sprint car last Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park, where he logged a top-five finish.

Lawrence received a call last week from a friend, Bob Odom, who offered an opportunity to race.

“I really can’t thank Bob enough for giving me an opportunity to get behind the wheel of his sprint car and add a couple more races to the schedule this season,” Lawrence said. “They are awesome people to work with and I’m looking forward to racing with them whenever we can.”

Due to RaceSaver Series rules and the ongoing point system, Lawrence started his heat race on the outside of the fourth row. He rallied to post a fourth-place finish.

“We had a pretty good car for the heat race and made our way up toward the front,” he said. “Although we were high-points guy, the rules run on a points average throughout the season so the best we could start was 10th for the feature.”

Lawrence lined up on the outside of the fifth row and advanced five spots to finish fifth, claiming his first top-five result of the season.

“Again, it was cool to be able to race for Bob and pick up another good run for him,” he said. “He puts a lot of time and effort into his equipment and it shows. It’ll be a good season with him.”
