Prelim Top-10 at Lil' Texas Motor Speedway for Setser
Gunnar Setser returned to action on Thursday night with a trip to Lil' Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas) for the POWRi 600cc Non-Wing Outlaw Micro C. Bell's Micro Mania event.
A staggering 68 entries were on hand for the event, and Gunnar piloted the CB Industries No. 87 to the 10th fastest time in his qualifying group and backed it up by finishing third in his heat race.
His performance in preliminary action locked him into the 14th-starting spot for the feature.
He advanced five positions in the finale to finish ninth.
Via his performance in his preliminary program on Thursday, Setser lined up in the fourth-starting spot in a B-Main on Saturday. While he slipped to a sixth-place finish, he was still able to lock into the feature in the 21st-starting spot.
He raced to as high as the 16th position before ultimately retiring on lap 16 to a 21st-place finish.
