Parker Martins heads to Thunderhill and Duck River
Remaining closer to home for Memorial Day weekend, Parker Martin traveled to Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon to compete in the Southern All-Stars-sanctioned Memorial Day Classic.
With 23 Late Models in the pit area, Martin missed the eight-ball in qualifying and was unable to recover in the feature. He was scored 19th in the final rundown.
Switching gears to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tenn.) on Sunday afternoon with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals, Parker followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a victory in his B-Main. For the $10,053-to-win feature, Martin made up five spots from his 18th-place starting position to finish 13th.
