Mid-Season Review for Christi Hoenshell Racing
So far this season has been really good for Christi Hoenshell, driving the Insight Mechanical Contractors #85. Hoenshell is currently 2nd in track points at LA Raceway in La Monte, Missouri, in the 305 winged sprint car division.
Christi mentions, “This season has been so much fun and very successful. This is my first year running LA Raceway and to be 2nd in track points is very exciting!” Hoenshell hasn’t ran winged sprint cars since 2007, she was running non-wing the past few years at Valley Speedway and decided she was ready to put the top back on and give it a try again. “I am hoping I can finish the year out just as strong as we have started off. It would be a great accomplishment for me!”
On May 29, 2011, Memorial Day weekend, Christi captured her first win of the season at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, MO. It was very exciting for Christi since she hasn’t raced at CMS since 2006 where she was 2nd in track points her first year in the sprint car as well as Rookie of the Year.
