Cody Cambensy Scores Podium Finish at Tucson Speedway

26 Promotions – Tucson, AZ – (May 22, 2018) – Cody Cambensy secured his fourth podium finish of the NASCAR Super Truck season on Saturday night at Tucson Speedway.
“This was the first race this season we haven’t qualified and ran heat races instead, so that changed up race day a little,” explained Cambensy. “So far this season we have been a little off, finishing third in the first two races and a fourth in the most recent race last month. This has been a learning curve with getting the feel and set up under us for the truck. We made some big changes, and it seemed to go in the right direction.”
After winning his heat race from the pole position, Cambensy started the 25-lap feature on the inside of the second row.
“We got stuck on the bottom to start the feature and fell back a few spots, but we were able to race door to door for 25-laps, mostly two and three wide the entire time to finish third,” said Cambensy. “I think if we could have moved up to the top, we could have been a lot faster, but we were stuck on the bottom too long. The changes we made helped us a lot. We just need to find a little more speed in the truck, and we can contend for wins.”
Cambensy has finished no worse than fourth in five feature events this season. He returns to the NASCAR Super Truck Series on June 2nd at Tucson Speedway.
