Beaver Dam ends 10 laps early

Jeremy Schultz and the 5j Motorsports Team would head to Beaver Dam, WI for the second race on the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) schedule. After the cool weather was scheduled on Saturday the race was moved to Sunday.

After drawing a 17 pill, Jeremy would go out in the first session of hot laps with the track already coming in, and turn some very good laps. The team would go to work on the Schultz Auto Body Sprint car and make a few minor adjustments for Qualifying. Jeremy would go out 10th in order and when after all thirty-one cars were done the 5j sprint car would end up 16th quick.

Jeremy would start on the pole of the first heat with a lot of good cars to contend with. On the start Jeremy would get a jump at the start only to have it called back. The second start Jeremy would again get a great start but it again would be called back. After the second time being called back the front row would be moved back a row and that would put Jeremy in the third starting spot behind Uttech and Neitzel. At the start Scotty would jump out to the early lead with Jeremy in tow. Only one more caution would take place in the heat with Jeremy finishing second.

Jeremy would start the feature in the 14th spot. The pace forward was slow but after a couple of restarts Jeremy was racing for the 9th spot when he and another car were tangled up ending Jeremy's night upside down.

Jeremy will head to Wilmot Raceway on May 2nd.
