Howard Moore Leads All But Final Lap at Riverside

Howard Moore returned to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark on Saturday night for the Rumble at the River Speed Spectacular.
In a field of 29 United Sprint Car Series 360 Outlaw Sprints, Howard charged to a heat race win in his Rains Motorsports / CP Carrillo No. 3 High Performance Lubricants / River City Hydraulics entry.

Earning the second starting position for the A-Main, Moore had taken the lead by lap five and was showing the way out front until the white flag waved. Battling Derek Hager for the top spot through lap traffic, Howard threw a slider in turns one and two that resulted in him making contact with the outside wall. Unable to continue, Moore retired to a 16th place finish.
