Lawrence Slated for Busy Season Racing With Two Texas Series in 2020

Inside Line Promotions – KENNEDALE, Texas (March 12, 2020) – Zane Lawrence is tackling an eventful season in 2020 with both the Texas Sprint Series and Sprint Car Bandits Series at familiar tracks throughout Texas.

“We’ve got a fun year ahead of us,” he said. “The Texas Sprint Series and Sprint Car Bandits have collaborated their schedules to where they won’t cross over and we will have an excellent car count for each event. It helps the guys that run both 305ci and 360ci sprint cars, like myself, to be able to compete in both series. I’m back in Bob Odom’s car this year and running for points with the Texas Sprint Series and in the off weeks I’ll be back in my sprint car contending with the Sprint Car Bandits Series.”

Lawrence kicked off the season last Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park with the Texas Sprint Series. He finished where he started – sixth – in a heat race. That relegated him to the 10th starting position in the B Main. Lawrence made his way up to sixth, falling just one spot short of a transfer into the main event.

“The first weekend of the season didn’t go quite like we planned,” he said. “I pulled a pretty high pill draw and that set the tone for the rest of the night. We fell short one spot for the transfer in the B Main, but we will rebound for the next one. I can’t thank Bob Odom enough for the opportunity again and I think we will have a stout year together.”

Lawrence’s next race will be on March 20 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, with the Sprint Car Bandits Series.
