Tankersley Kicking Off Season with ASCS National Tour at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (March 17, 2015) – Channin Tankersley is seeking a strong start to his season, which was delayed a week following rain that engulfed the region last weekend.

Tankersley, whose defense of the ASCS Gulf South Region championship was set to begin last weekend before the season-opening doubleheader was rained out, is now scheduled to open his season this Friday and Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“I’m bummed that we didn’t get to race last weekend because of the weather, but in some ways it was a blessing in disguise,” he said. “We were working really hard to wrap up everything to start the season and the rain bought us an extra week to finish everything.”

With his ducks now in a row, Tankersley is amped to kick off the year at the fast half-mile oval.

“Devil’s Bowl is a fast and technical track,” he said. “The only way you’re going to end up front is to have a car that can operate on both ends of the track and you catch a break or two. We’ve had fast cars there throughout the years, but haven’t been able to capitalize.”

Tankersley has registered his career-best result – seventh – at the half-mile track during each of the past two years.
