Trenca Eyeing Strong Performance at Canadian Sprint Car Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2016) – Joe Trenca is heading to one of his favorite tracks this weekend.

The Mucci Motorsports driver will compete on Saturday at Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada, for the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.

“We’re really excited,” he said. “We spent a long weekend in the shop getting stuff ready. There’s going to be a lot of great drivers there so we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

This weekend will mark Trenca’s first trip to the track this season. His career-best result at the dirt oval is an eighth-place result during the 2014 edition of the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.

“I really enjoy the track,” he said. “It fits my style. It’s a really fun track. Normally we’ll run the top. A lot of races when it gets slick are won on the bottom. You have to be able to adapt.”

Trenca is coming off a podium finish and two top fives in his last three races.

“We’ve had a couple of good runs and with a big race weekend coming up the momentum we have going will hopefully continue,” he said. “When you come off a couple of good runs it always helps lead you into the next race.”
