Flud Scores Two Lucas Oil NOW600 Series Wins on Same Night for 11th Time This Season and Laplante Also Victorious During Return to Grayson County

Inside Line Promotions – BELLS, Texas (Sept. 28, 2019) – Frank Flud captured both the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Tel-Star Technologies Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class main events on the same night for the 11th time this season and Ryder Laplante posted his third Restricted ‘A’ Class victory of the year on Saturday during the final series race of the season in Texas.

Flud was dominant once again during the first series race at Grayson County Speedway since its debut in April 2018. He won both a heat race and the main event in both divisions to add to his lead in the championship standings in both classes.

Flud was victorious from the pole position in the Stock Non-Wing main event to garner his 13th series win in the class this year. Mike Walling placed second with Brady Ross third, Chase Randall fourth and Weldon Buford fifth.

Walling and Randall joined Flud as heat race winners.

Flud picked up his 18th series triumph in the Winged ‘A’ Class division. Ryan Timms earned a runner-up result with 13th-starting Shane Marquez Jr. rounding out the podium. Randall was fourth and Christopher Townsend recorded a fifth-place run.

Randall, Ross and Flud won the trio of heat races.

Laplante outlasted Restricted ‘A’ Class points leader Timms for the victory. Joshua Gentry was the third-place finisher with Conner Long and Thomas Hall Jr. finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.

Laplante and Timms were also the heat race winners.

The Lucas Oil NOW600 Series will resume competition Oct. 18-19 at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.
