Rice and Brown Victorious in Iron-Man Racing Series Lake Cumberland Classic at Lake Cumberland Speedway

BURNSIDE, KENTUCKY (September 18, 2021)– The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern and Southern Series, along with the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, would be in action at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Saturday evening for the 26th Annual Lake Cumberland Classic and Josh Rice of Verona, KY would take the $5,000 win for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series and Blake Brown of Corbin, KY would score the victory in the $1,200 to win Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series feature event.

The win for the 23-year old Rice would be his third Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series win of the season and would be his fourth Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model victory. Rice’s victory would come behind the wheel of a Rocket Chassis with a Jay Dickens Race Engine and carry sponsorship from Sunesis Holdings, Blox Spiced Ice, ATC Bolts and Fasteners, Base Racing Fuel, Rice Brothers Racing, Maxwell Trucking, Extreme Sportswear Sales, Valvoline, Integra Shocks, and Slicker Graphics.

The victory by the 22-year old Brown would be his ninth career Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series victory and fifth of the season and would come behind the wheel of a Lightning Chassis powered by a Vic Hill Race Engine and carrying sponsorship from Edgewood Homes of Williamsburg, Don Franklin Ford of London, Z-Max, Lawyer Muscle Racing, Kentucky Clutch, Kevin and Larry Ison Motorsports, Kentucky Farm Bureau by Blake Brown, and Wheelersburg Raceway.

The next event for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern and Southern Series will be on Friday October 1 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY, paying $5,000 to win and $450 to start. The next event for the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will be at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN on Saturday September 25 paying $1,200 to win and $125 to start.
