Nick Hoffman records 13th-place finish in World 100 at Eldora
Nick Hoffman was back in action at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon aboard the Tye Twarog Racing No. 9 Late Model for a pair of prelims to kick off the 53rd annual World 100 weekend.
With the massive 102-car field split into two groups, Hoffman’s eighth-place result in his heat relegated him into a B-Main. Sending the top-two into a preliminary feature, Nick missed a transfer spot by one car with a third-place outing.
For another round of $12,000-to-win prelims on Friday, Nick followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with a third-to-first showing in his consolation race. Wheeling his way into the top-10 in his preliminary, Hoffman passed 13 cars in the 25-lapper to register a seventh-place finish.
On Saturday, Nick came in fourth in his heat before grabbing the third-and-final transfer spot in his consolation race. Rolling off 26th for the $56,000-to-win World 100, Hoffman advanced through the field 13 positions to cap off the weekend with a 13th-place finish.
