Gresham scores first victory of 2024 at East Bay Raceway Park

Following the Crate Racin' USA Winter Series further south, Mario Gresham checked into East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) on Thursday afternoon for the first night of the Clay by the Bay.

Joined by a stacked 91-car field, Gresham qualified fifth-fastest in his group and was placed in the third preliminary feature where he would score a podium finish in third behind Tucker Anderson and Jeremy Wonderling.

With another preliminary feature on tap Friday, Mario laid down the seventh-quickest lap in his group which landed him on the fourth-row of the second prelim feature. Outrunning Anthony White to the checkered flag, Gresham charged from the seventh position to score the victory worth $1,000.

Locking himself into the Saturday A-Main with two podium finishes, Gresham started the 50-lap main event from the second-row and ran inside the Top-10 before fading late to finish 13th.
