KULKA CAPTURES FIRST DRP PRO LATE MODEL WIN

Wisconsin Dells WI 7/30/22-Young gun Kevin Kulka broke through for a big win on Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter night at the races. Kendrick Kreyer and Mahlon Borntreger brought a stacked 22 car field of Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Models to the green flag. Rookie Pilot Kendrick Kreyer powered to the lead as Borntreger fell back at the initial start. Morgan Schissel would be the first to challenge the young hot shoe at the front, the two traded blows in a display of hard racing until the only caution of the race flew 9 laps in. The Five Star Concrete and Excavating Lane Choice Cone would have a pivotal role to play as Kreyer would use the inside position to again gain the advantage into turn one. Moving his way forward from his 5th starting spot was Kevin Kulka as he dispatched one car after another until he found himself in the tire tracks of Kreyer in what would be an epic battle to the end. Kulka would use a great roll center and bite off to eventually gain the top spot and drive to a very hard fought and deserved win. Following Kulka to the line with a great rebound was Mahlon Borntreger, Kendrick Kreyer , Mike Lichtfeld and Nick Nolden. Kevin Kulka also won the Diamond Racing Wheels fast dash as Cole Gray and Noah Eisenhauer collected heat wins. Mike Lichtfeld took top honors in Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Model qualifying with a lap of 14.109 (84.202MPH)
