Runner-up finish in Hooked Up 30 at Revolution Park

Taking part in the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) doubleheader weekend, Jon Mitchell traveled to Revolution Park (Monroe, La.) on Friday night for the Hooked Up 30. After topping the 33-car field in time trials, Mitchell cruised to a heat race victory, which positioned him on the pole for the opening night feature. With $3,000 on the line, Jon faded one spot in the 30-lap affair to register a runner-up finish behind Cade Dillard with Spencer Hughes, B.J. Robinson, and Brian Rickman rounding out the Top-5. The following night for the $7,000-to-win finale, Mitchell edged his way into the show with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. With a dozen cars failing to complete all 50 laps of the feature, Jon was spun around by another competitor that ended up breaking his front-end.
