Benji Hicks collects pair of Top-5 outings with Carolina Clash
On Saturday afternoon, Benji Hicks ventured into a busy weekend of racing at Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway for the Palmetto State 50.
Following the 10th-fastest lap in qualifying, Hicks gained five positions in the $10,000-to-win feature to record a Top-5 finish in fifth.
Switching gears to the Blue/Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday afternoon, Benji competed with the Carolina Clash and 602 Performance Series. In 602 competition, Benji qualified third-fastest and wound up fourth in the caution-shortened feature.
For the $20,000-to-win Blue/Gray 100, Benji weathered the lengthy 100-lap feature to finish one spot off the podium in fourth.
