Podium outing in UMP Modified portion of Southern Heritage Classic at Needmore Speedway
Making the trek to Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Friday afternoon, Austin Holcombe was one of 23 UMP Modifieds checked in with the Modified Mafia Tour for the Southern Heritage Classic weekend.
With only qualifying slated for Friday, Austin topped the 23-car field to earn the outside pole position for Saturday's main event. Running inside the Top-5 for the entirety of the 40-lap feature, Holcombe brought home third-place finish. He trailed Drake Troutman and Ray Kable while Jason Garver and Ryan Ayers completed the Top-5 for the $5,000-to-win event.
