Cosner wheels to top-five finish in Billy Winn Classic at Bedford Speedway
Matt Cosner invaded Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) on Friday afternoon with his teammate Eddie Carrier Jr. joining him for the Billy Winn Classic.
Drawing 30 Late Models, Eddie raced his way into the show with a third-place finish in his heat while Matt’s fifth-place finish pinned him on the seventh row for the feature. With $8,700 on the line, Cosner charged through the field eight spots in the 50-lapper to finish fifth, which came behind Mason Zeigler, Kyle Lee, Gregg Satterlee, and Jeff Rine. Carrier Jr. inched forward one spot to finish ninth.
The pair traveled to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) on Saturday for the $4,000-to-win main event but both drivers failed to finish in the top-10. After Carrier finished fifth and Matt crossed the line in seventh in the same heat, Cosner recorded a 16th-place finish in the feature while Eddie trailed him across the line in 17th.
