Eary exit with Crate Racin' USA at TST

Austin Horton made his lone start of the Independence Day weekend on Saturday afternoon at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) with the Crate Racin’ USA. (Brian McLeod photo)

Drawing 34 cars for the second round of the Salute to America Nationals, Horton secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the third-fastest lap in his time trial group. Starting in sixth, Austin was an early retiree on lap seven while running inside the top-five. He was credited 20th on the final rundown.
