(Warrensburg, Missouri) Although last week’s action was cut short by inclement weather, the Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) staff is geared up and ready for this Saturday’s annual Kid’s Night at the Races. The program will feature a fun night for youngsters ages 12 and under in attendance, highlighted by the annual foot races on the track during the intermission break. In addition, all kids in attendance will receive a free goodie bag full of donated items by racers, fans, and local businesses and each child will receive a free hot dog and drink.

The night will include weekly championship racing in all divisions, including B-Mods, POWRi Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Midwest Mods. Promoters Earl and Susan Walls have waived track registration for the remainder of the year in all divisions, the only fees drivers pay is their pit pass, which for this weekend is $35.

Kid’s Night event Coordinator Barb Beck Wilson stated donated items for Kid’s Night may be brought to the track and dropped off at the pit entrance office on race day as early as possible. The track staff plans to organize and assemble the goodie bags beginning at 10 a.m. this Saturday. Items needed include school supplies such as crayons, colored pencils, dry-erase markers glue sticks, loose leaf paper, scissors, folders, spiral notebook paper (school supplies), and small toys, trinkets, and candy treats (that will not melt), and driver memorabilia, such as hero cards and pictures.

Saturday’s Timeline: Pit gates opening at 4:30, grandstands at 5, pill draw cutoff for drivers 6:15 (no passing points awarded if late check-in), pit meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30 or after hot laps.

Admission Details: Adults $15, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens aged 65 to 74 $12, Kids 6 to 12 years old $6, five and under free, seniors 75 and older and individuals permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. All pit passes are $35 regardless of age.
