Stormy Scott follows LOLMDS to Smoky Mountain Speedway

Scott Brothers Racing pilot Stormy Scott returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday afternoon at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the two-day Mountain Moonshine Classic. (Josh James Artwork)

In a stout field of 45 cars, Scott’s eighth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the eighth row for the preliminary feature. With $5,000 on the line, Stormy gained three spots in the 30-lapper to finish 13th.

On Saturday evening, Stormy came in seventh in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $50,000-to-win Mountain Moonshine Classic with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place third or better, Scott came two spots short with a fifth-place outing.
