Pearson lands 10th-place finish with Lucas Oil at Talladega

Earl Pearson Jr. was joined by Jason Papich on Saturday afternoon as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) debuted at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the $15,000-to-win A-Main. (Heath Lawson photo)

With both drivers experiencing mechanical issues early, Papich scratched after time trials while Pearson used a provisional into the feature after missing his heat race and B-Main. Marching through the field 13 spots in the 50-lap affair, Earl raced to a 10th-place finish.

Earl is currently fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
