Trent Ivey bags Top-5 finish in 2023 season debut
Trent Ivey began his 2023 season on Saturday at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned Winter Freeze.
On Saturday, Ivey qualified fifth-quickest in his group before transferring to the show with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Starting the 50-lap feature from the seventh row, Trent knocked off the rust and made a 13th-to-4th charge in the $10,000 main event to record a Top-5 run. He trailed Ross Bailes, Kenny Collins, and Steven Roberts while Benji Hicks completed the Top-5.
