Alex Mira has been racing for four years and already has an impressive resume of feature wins and track championships. In 2021, he won the Rookie of the Year at Lake of the Woods Speedway and Victory Lane Speedway as well as the WISSOTA Northern Pure Stock Championship.

Last year, Mira claimed the Track Championship in the WISSOTA Pure Stocks at Lake of the Woods Speedway, Victory Lane Speedway, and once again the WISSOTA Northern Pure Stock Championship.

Mira’s first race at Lake of the Woods Speedway was on August 2, 2020, competing in the 4-Cylinder class. He did not finish the heat race due to mechanical problems, which they were unable to repair in time for the feature.

Sponsors include Fern’s Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd., Smooth Body Sugaring, and Southfork Engine & Transmissions.

Brady Park and Teigan Park are his forever faithful pit crew.

Where it all started for Alex Mira was the creation of a team with his friends called ‘Dirtbag Racing’.

“We figured because there were so many of us that we would need a team name. We were quick to decide on the name, although it was at first more of a joke. But the name has stuck and people love it!”

First thing they did was purchase a Dodge Neon 4-Cylinder race car, splitting it between the six (6) of them.

Mira added, “We were instantly hooked and soon purchased a second identical car to compete against each other during our second season. We have since purchased our own cars in different classes.”

As for his expectations for the 2023 season at the track, Mira hopes to be competitive once again, but most importantly go out and have fun throughout the summer.

Promoter’s Thoughts – “After a strong rookie WISSOTA Pure Stock season in 2021, Mira dominated much of the 2022 season at both Lake of the Woods Speedway and VLS. I expect to see him continue to have high chances of winning each and every week.”

See you this summer Alex!
