Car Show and Flea Market Postponed, Practice Canceled for Saturday!

(Warrensburg, Missouri) Unfortunately, we are going to postpone events for the weekend at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) regarding the Flea Market, Car Show, and Practice Session. We have continually monitored several different weather models throughout the week, including the local military observers, and all indicators point to Saturday being a likely wet and stormy day. The majority of predictions lean towards 60% chances of rain and thunderstorms and then cooler temperatures settling in after the front rolls through. This is not ideal for vendors to have to worry about covering and uncovering sale items throughout the day, nor is it a safe or desirable situation for racers trying to display their cars and later practicing for the coming season or fans trying to enjoy the sale and watch the practice session.
We will postpone the Flea Market and Car Show for one week to Saturday, April 22. We realize this is opening day at CMS for the 2023 season, but this revised date will add extra excitement for everyone by holding these events earlier in the day on race day to an appreciative audience. Times and location will remain the same. Car Show participants will need to be in place by 10 a.m. We ask that cars remain on display until 3 p.m., at which time drivers may head over to the pit area to prepare for opening night. Late check-ins for drivers are okay, but we encourage drivers to be in place at the car show, if participating, by no later than noon.
For Flea Market vendors, load-in time is now expanded to start at 6:30 a.m. and will last until 8:45. The market will operate from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. so, all load in will need to be done by 8:45. If you purchased a vendor lot and cannot make the revised date, please contact Sam, Event Coordinator, at 660.909.1083 for a full refund. There are still plenty of spaces available to sell your items! Lots are $35 for a 12 x 20 spot. The car show and Flea Market take place in front of Pub 13, co-located with CMS along Highway 13, just north of Warrensburg, Missouri.
We are exploring the possibility of having a practice session late next week and will make a separate announcement if we can arrange a practice session for drivers prior to the season opener on Saturday, April 22.
