Ross Bailes visits Volunteer Speedway for Spring Thaw 100
With the the original Spring Thaw 100 weekend being pushed to a one-day show due to rain, Ross Bailes entered his Billy Hicks Racing No. 79 Late Model into XR Super Series competition at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Saturday.
With 60 entries on site, Ross timed in eighth-fastest in his group which earned a third-place starting position in his heat race. In the 10-lap heat, Bailes found himself on the wrong end of some contact and went spinning six laps in. Being buried in a B-Main, Ross was a scratch for the remainder of the evening.
