Shipley is quick at Attica Raceway Park
Colin Shipley visited Attica Raceway Park (Attica, Ohio) on Friday evening where he was among 30 drivers competing for a $3,000 top prize in the track’s Late Model division.
Shipley, a native of Weston, Ohio, set quick time in group qualifying and was second fastest overall in his Domination Race Cars No. 44S ride. He finished third in his heat race and rolled off fourth for the night’s A-Main.
However, his Shipley Racing team had its three-wheel-brake solenoid fail during the feature event, making the car difficult to steer. The mechanical issue ended Shipley’s night and he came home with a 13th-place result.
