Freedom Classic tonight at I-90 Speedway

The Freedom Classic is tonight at I-90 Speedway near Hartford, South Dakota.

The racing action features the four divisions of the RPM Race Series: Spielman Excavating IMCA Sprint Cars, First Interstate Bank Late Model Street Stocks, Reaves Buildings USRA B-Mods and LawnSnow.com USRA Hobby Stocks. The event is draw/redraw for all classes meaning point averages have no bearing on the starting grids.

The IMCA Sprint Cars will take center stage with its feature paying $1,000 to win and $200 to start.

Tickets are available at the gate or www.i90speedway.com and are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Twelve and younger are free. The five Culver’s locations across Sioux Falls have free student passes. Those Culver’s passes are also good for college age students with a valid college identification.

Arm bands from last week’s rain out can be exchanged at the back gate tonight or next Saturday.

For grandstand rain checks, those can be used tonight, but patrons must pay the difference in last week’s gate admission and this week’s admission. Otherwise, they can be exchanged straight up next Saturday.

Hot laps begin at 6:30 with racing to follow. Saturday’s event is capped off with a fireworks display.
