Billy Moyer Jr

Five consecutive top-10's for BMJ with Hell Tour in week three

Back on tour with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Tuesday, Billy Moyer Jr. was one of 27 Super Late Models entered at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Mo.) where he raced onto the podium in the feature.

With a heat victory placing him on the front row for the opener, Moyer regained second from Ashton Winger on a lap-25 restart and went onto claim the runner-up honors. He trailed Logan Martin to the checkers with Winger, Morgan Bagley, and Kaeden Cornell rounding out the top-five.

On Wednesday afternoon at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill.), Billy followed up a third-to-second run in his heat with a seventh-place showing in the 40-lap feature.

Back on the podium in Thursday’s feature at Benton Speedway (Benton, Mo.), Moyer started the night off with a heat race victory before placing third in the main event, which came behind Ashton Winger and Drake Troutman.

In a field of 21 DIRTcar Late Models on Friday at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Ky.), Billy locked his spot into $10,000-to-win A-Main with an eight-lap heat win. Climbing back into the top-five late in the feature, Moyer Jr. recorded a fifth-place finish.

With Saturday’s stop at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.) axed by wet weather, Moyer Jr. returned to action on Monday at Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Ky.) for the rain-delayed Hell Tour event from Sunday. Earning the third-starting position for the A-Main via preliminary results, Billy held his starting spot for all 40 laps to finish third.

Billy finished second in the week-three point standings.
