Runner-up result for Thompson at Park Jefferson
Cody Thompson took to the 3/8-mile Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, South Dakota) on Saturday behind the wheel of his No. 25c IMCA Modified.
The Sioux City, Iowa, driver advanced from sixth to first in his heat race, then started the night’s 20-lap A-Main from the ninth starting position. He climbed seven spots in the main event to record a second-place finish behind Chase Alves. Third place went to Bob Moore, with Chris Abelson fourth and Ricky Stephan fifth. A total of 12 Modifieds were in the pit area for the event.
