Third Annual Legends Of The Redwoods Race This Saturday
Race fans should expect some action-packed race fans this Saturday July 29 as the 2023 season continues at Redwood Acres Raceway. This weekend’s event will feature the third annual running of the Legends Of The Redwoods Shootout.
The NorCal Legend Series will join the Acres locals for the big INEX sanctioned National Qualifying Race. The top Legends drivers throughout the region will visit the 3/8-mile oval and a high car count is expected.
DelReka Distributing will be presenting this weekend’s race which will also feature bombers and mini stocks. The event will be held in honor of Craig Perrone, the former owner and founder of DelReka Distributing who passed away in 2021. Perrone was a major enthusiast of racing at Redwood Acres Raceway not only through his support of the track but as well as the numerous drivers and race teams his business sponsored throughout the years.
Tickets for Saturday’s race are currently available on RacinTheAcres.com and can also be purchased in-person at Automasters in Eureka, Don’s Rent-All in Eureka, McKinleyville Barbershop and JC Auto in Fortuna. Tickets will also be available at the gate on race day. The front gates open at 4:00 while racing begins at 5:30. The race will also be livestreamed on RacinTheAcres.tv and SpeedSport.tv. An open practice is also scheduled for Friday July 28 from 1:00 until 6:00.
