Diercks tops teammate Jeff Larson at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway
Spencer Diercks returned to the Super Late Model ranks on Friday with a trip to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) to compete with the Wabam Dirt Kings Tour for the Rumble by the River 40.
After sneaking into the opener with a fourth-place run in his heat race, Diercks was sidelined early on lap 17 of the feature.
For another $5,000-to-win Wabam Dirt Kings Tour event on Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.), Spencer topped his time trial group in qualifying before placing second in his heat. Battling more issues in the 40-lap feature, Spencer pulled off on the sixth circuit.
In the Timmy Current-owned No. 21T Modified on Sunday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway (Dubuque, Iowa), Diercks ran away with his seventh win of the season in the feature after picking up a heat win earlier in the night. He finished 0.899 seconds ahead of his teammate Jeff Larson.
