Alberson 12th in Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway

To kick off his Labor Day weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Garrett Alberson invaded Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Saturday evening to pilot Sunoco Race Fuels No. 58 Late Model for the River Days Rumble.

Sneaking into the $15,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat, Garrett posted a 15th-place finish in the 50-lap opener.

On Sunday evening at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W. Va.) for the 55th running of the Hillbilly 100, Alberson’s third-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the 11th row for the finale. With $30,000 on the line, Garrett charged through the field nine spots in the 100-lap affair to cap off the weekend with a 12th-place run.

Garrett climbed to 11th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
