Gresham scores pair of Top-10 outings at Talladega Short Track with CRUSA
Heading to one of his favorite tracks for NASCAR weekend, Mario Gresham rolled into Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Red Farmer Tribute weekend with Crate Racin' USA.
With a whopping 52 Late Models on deck, Gresham grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race which set him starting 20th. In the quick 37-lap main event, Mario stormed through the field and found himself inside the Top-10 in seventh when the checkered flag flew.
For Saturday's $6,000-to-win finale, Mario picked it up in qualifying and laid down the second-quickest lap before finishing runner-up in his heat race. Quickly moving into the Top-5 during the 60-lap feature, Gresham recorded a strong fourth-place finish. He trailed Cory Hedgecock, Jason Welshan, and Tyler Millwood while Austin Horton completed the Top-5.
