Hafertepe is Devil's Bowl Bound For The Winter Nationals With The American Sprint Car Series
Bryan Hulbert - MESQUITE, Texas (October 11, 2023) When you get the chance to race close to home, there's nothing like it, and Sunnyvale, Texas shoe, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. is doing just that this weekend in the Hills Racing No. 15h as he takes on the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt at the 50th annual Devil's Bowl Winter Nationals.
Racing Friday, October 13, and Saturday, October 14, Sam has repeatedly stated the Devil's Bowl is his favorite track. In ASCS National competition, Sam has been on top seven times since 2011. His most recent Devil's Bowl win came during the 2020 Winter Nationals prelim night.
"I love coming back to race the Devil's Bowl, and we get a couple of chances this weekend with ASCS, and next week, we come here and run with the Outlaws. It's right down the road from where I grew up, so this place means a lot to me," said Hafertepe.
On track earlier this season with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars, Sam's weekend concluded with a sixth-place finish.
Both nights during the Devil's Bowl Winter National this weekend go green at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Fans not able to attend can watch every lap on http://www.racindirt.com.
Hafertepe will have his T-Shirt Trailer set up during the event behind the grandstands for fans to purchase merchandise.
