Sixth-place finish in Southern Showcase opener at Swainsboro Raceway

Joining the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for their points finale, Clay Harris made the trip to Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first round of the two-day Southern Showcase.

Stopping the clock third-quickest in his group, Clay ran runner-up in his heat race which placed him on the third row for the feature. With only 30 laps to make a move, Harris ran inside the Top-10 and wound up sixth in the $5,000-to-win feature.

With the field elevated to 34 Super Late Models on Saturday, Harris got shuffled back in his heat race and was unable to make the feature in his B-Main.
