Dirt Track World Championship brings Fergy to Eldora Speedway

Chris Ferguson trekked to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) over the weekend as the famed half-mile oval hosted the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) for the 43rd running of the General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by Automotive Racing Products.

After inclement weather condensed the originally scheduled two-day event, Ferguson suffered a flat tire during his time trial session on Saturday but rebounded with a sixth-to-third run in his heat race on Sunday afternoon, locking him into the main event.

Rolling off 18th for the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship, Chris ran as high as sixth before ultimately retiring early due to rough track conditions. He was scored 16th in the final rundown.
