Lil 81 Speedway Kart Park

Lil 81 is in Full Swing, Despite Mother Nature

December and January have been nothing less than favorable when it comes to weather. Freezing cold temps, snow and rain have slowed the track progress. We’ve tried to work the ground a few times but with the ground being frozen and saturated we’ve had to wait patiently. We are still looking forward to our opening date on April 21st, with a couple of practices being held before that. This week we are finally able to have a couple buildings brought in that we purchased from Heartland Park. With what seems like better weather, we are hoping to really make some progress the next couple weeks. We need to give a big thank you to Clint & Holli Carter with Premier Maintenance Services, Chris and Brandy Holle with HRT Motorsports, Ethyn with Central Spray Foam & Cement Lifting & Chad with Wilkes Underground for all their help with the dirt work and drainage. Thank you to Rodney with Broadway Truck and Auto, Calvin with Cal’s and Rodger Glasse for assisting with loading and hauling the buildings. Although 81 Speedway and Lil 81 are their own entities we need to thank JR & Kati Sartain for their help and support as well. As we approach opening day, look for the new website www.lil81speedway.com to launch this week. We are excited to partner with some great businesses as well. Find more information on them on our Facebook page. If you would like to learn more about marketing opportunities, email us at emily@blackoutpromotions.net
