Ferguson races to fourth in Spring Thaw at Bulls Gap

Chris Ferguson traveled to the Volunteer State over the weekend to pilot his Spartan Transportation No. 22 Late Model for a pair of XR Super Series events at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.).

After Mother Nature washed out Friday’s opener and shifted it to Sunday, Chris squeezed into Saturday’s $30,000-to-win Spring Thaw A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Starting in 14th, Ferguson wheeled through the field 10 spots in the 60-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. He chased Mike Marlar, Devin Moran, and Jonathan Davenport to the checkers with Daulton Wilson coming in fifth.

Fergy’s weekend drew to a close on Sunday with an early exit in 40-lap finale. After battling the car all night, Chris pulled pitside on lap 22.
