Heavy rain showers postpone Alabama Gang 100 to September
Losing Thursday's event at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tenn.), Dustin Sorensen started his weekend with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday afternoon at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Alabama Gang 100.
With 48 Super Late Models on the grounds, Sorensen found himself in the first preliminary feature where he would record a 10th-place finish.
With the $35,000-to-win main event slated for Saturday, Dustin earned the 11th-place starting position after finishing second in his heat race. Unfortunately, prior to the 75-lap main event, a heavy rain shower engulfed the racetrack. The event was rescheduled to September 15th.
Sorenson is currently 12th in the World of Outlaw point standings.
